The last plugin you installed (or auto-updated) is the most likely culprit. If wp-admin still loads, disable them one by one. If you're locked out, connect via SFTP and rename /wp-content/plugins/ to /plugins_off/ — that force-deactivates everything so you can log back in.
If your host takes daily backups (most do — check cPanel or the host dashboard), roll back to the most recent version before the crash. This is the fastest path back to a working site. Then figure out what changed afterward, not in a panic.
Add define('WP_DEBUG', true); to wp-config.php, or open /wp-content/debug.log if it's already on. The last few lines almost always name the file causing the crash — usually a plugin or theme. Search that error message; the fix is usually a version mismatch.
